How we assess you as a leader
We start with the conversations you already have, and assess them using principles from recognized leadership research.
The theory behind it
Transformational leadership is one of the most researched and practical frameworks in organizational psychology. It describes leaders who do not just manage tasks, but also lift people's motivation, create shared direction around a common purpose, and help employees grow.
The model we use rests on four dimensions. Together they capture how you show up as a leader: how you build trust, create meaning, encourage thinking, and show care for each individual. No single dimension is enough on its own; the best leaders show strength across all four, and we help you see where you already shine and where there is room for growth.
The four dimensions
Idealized Influence
Leaders who lead by example and build trust through consistency and integrity.
What it means
You do not just tell people what to do, you live the values and standards you ask of others. Your team sees you as someone worth following because your actions match your words, and you put the common good ahead of personal gain.
How Soniver assesses this
In your 1:1 conversations, we listen for how you frame decisions, take responsibility for outcomes, and refer to values. We look for consistency between what you say and how you describe your own behavior, and for signs that your team sees you as a credible, trustworthy role model.
Inspirational Motivation
Leaders who paint a clear, meaningful picture of the future and create energy around it.
What it means
You give your team something to aim for: a vision that is both ambitious and meaningful. You talk about why you do what you do, celebrate progress, and help people see how their work matters. That sense of purpose is what keeps motivation alive.
How Soniver assesses this
We pay attention to how you talk about goals, the future, and the meaning of work in conversations. We look for language that inspires and clarifies direction, and whether you connect daily tasks to a bigger picture so the employee feels motivated, not just informed.
Intellectual Stimulation
Leaders who encourage new ideas, curiosity, and different ways of thinking.
What it means
You do not rely on 'this is how we have always done it.' You invite questions, challenge assumptions in a constructive way, and encourage people to suggest better solutions. You treat mistakes as learning opportunities and create psychological safety to try something new.
How Soniver assesses this
In your 1:1 conversations, we look for moments where you invite ideas, ask open questions, or reframe problems. We notice whether you encourage the employee to think independently and whether you respond to suggestions with curiosity rather than quick judgment.
Individualized Consideration
Leaders who see each person as an individual and adapt to their needs and growth.
What it means
You know that one size does not fit all. You pay attention to each person's strengths, challenges, and goals. You coach and support in a way that fits the individual, not a generic checklist. People feel seen and know that you are invested in their development.
How Soniver assesses this
We listen for how you adapt your style to the person you are speaking with: the questions you ask, the support you offer, and whether you refer to their specific situation and goals. We look for signs that you tailor the conversation to the individual, not a script.
